The official site has updated the track list for the "Cabaret" cast recording and there are now 12 tracks listed.

The official site has revealed the track list for the "Cabaret" cast recording. There are only 10 songs listed which may be a mistake since the original news item mentions 12 songs.

Above is the cover for the "Jag står för allt jag gjort" single which to the best of my knowledge has never been released generally. It appears to be a promo release only and has just the one track.

A cast recording of the Swedish production will be released in Sweden on 24 January 2007. The CD features 12 of the best songs recorded by Peter and the rest of the cast in the studio. The album will be available by digital download two days earlier on 22 January.

Peter will be appearing in a Christmas concert being broadcast on SVT1 on Christmas Eve. The program is called "Nordisk Julkonsert" and Peter will sing two songs - "Decembernatt (Halleluja)" and "Silent Night". The concert will also feature Kim Wilde among others. The program will be repeated on SVT2 on 26 December.

Sissel Kyrkjebø has released a double CD compilation called "De Beste" covering her career from 1986 to 2006. Included is her 2003 duet with Peter, "Gå inte förbi" (also included on Peter's "Flera sidor..." album).

You Tube has Peter's performance of "Jag står för allt jag gjort" on the TV show Bingolotto.

The "Flera sidor av samma man" album is currently sitting at number 14 on the Swedish album charts and is still selling well. Peter's Christmas album is number 2 on the mid-price album chart.

Peter was recently voted number 6 in a list of best male artists in Sweden on the TV show "Folktoppen". He appeared in the studio and sang "Jag står för allt jag gjort". Following is the complete list:

Peter has recorded a duet with Gunilla Backman (Donna in the Swedish production of Mamma Mia!) for inclusion on her new album "Nära mig" due to be released on 18 October 2006. "Cabaret" has reopened in Stockholm and will run until 18 November 2006. It will then open in Göteborg on New Years Eve.

"Flera sidor av samma man" just keeps selling. It is back at number 1. After eight weeks in the top spot, it dropped to number 3 and then number 5 before jumping back to the top spot, despite strong competition from the likes of Bob Dylan and Justin Timberlake.

"Flera sidor av samma man" has now been certified platinum in Sweden.

"Flera sidor av samma man" shows no sign of dropping. It has now been at the top of the Swedish album charts for seven weeks in a row. It has also been certified gold. Well done Peter.

The album has also done well in Norway. It is currently sitting at number 10, having reached a peak of number 5.

"Jag blundar i solens sken" is at number 7 on Svensktoppen.

Aftonbladet has published a short interview with Peter where he reveals that he is working on a new album. Great news for his fans. Peter says that the album won't be out until next autumn at the earliest. Thank you to Ice for noticing the article.

The other new song from Peter's album, "Jag står för allt jag gjort", will be released as a single according to www.cdon.com and www.megastore.se. No date has been given yet.

"Flera sidor av samma man" has now been number one in Sweden for three weeks running. "Jag blundar i solens sken" has re-entered the single charts at number 56.

"Flera sidor av samma man" is currently number 10 on the Norwegian charts. It entered at number 12, moved to 11 and is now at 10.

"Jag blundar i solens sken" has entered the Svensktoppen chart at number 10.

Peter's album "Flera sidor av samma man" debuted at number one on the album charts last week which is an excellent result.

After entering at number 37, "Jag blundar i solens sken" dropped to 44 and then dropped right out of the charts.

"Jag blundar i solens sken" is bubbling under on Svensktoppen, the listener voted chart for Swedish artists.

Peter's compilation album "Flera sidor av samma man" is released in Sweden today. It is being released in a limited edition cardboard slip case.

"Jag blundar i solens sken" debuted on the Swedish singles sales chart at number 37.

Although the official site is saying that the album will be released on 12 July, the online stores are all listing it as 5 July.

Peter's official site contains the following information about his new single and album.

The album is a collection spanning Peter's recording career from 1990 up until the current day. It will contain 34 songs which reflect Peter as the multi-faceted artist he is. There will be two brand new songs and presumably songs on CD for the first time and songs that have been unavailable for many years.

The album will be called "Flera sidor av samma man" (Many sides of the same man) and will be a double album. The two new songs are "Jag blundar i solens sken" (the new single, with music by Orup and Marcus Dernulf and lyrics by Peter LeMarc) and "Jag står för allt jag gjort" ("I stand for everything I've done" written by Niclas Frisk and Andreas Mattsson).

The album will be released on 12 July 2006. As previously reported, the single will be out on 21 June 2006.

There have not been any updates for a while due to a computer crash but the site is back with some exciting news.

Peter is about to release a new single. The song is called "Jag blundar i solens sken" which translates to "I close my eyes in the glare of the sun". The single is a two track single and is due to be released in Sweden on 21 June 2006. It can be pre-booked from a number of online stores including Megastore. There is no other information at this stage.

There have been rumours of a greatest hits package and the new single may somehow be tied into this release. It is common these days for greatest hits CDs to contain one or two new songs.

Peter has been on a break following a highly successful season of "Cabaret" where Peter starred as the Emcee. He received rave reviews for his performance and won the prestigious Gold Mask award for best male lead in a musical. Peter is pictured above with Gunilla Backman, who won best female lead for her role in "Mamma Mia". Click on the thumbnail for a larger view.

"Cabaret" will return on 14 September 2006 and will run until 18 November 2006. Tickets are now on sale from www.ticnet.se.

Sweden's Princess Victoria celebrates her 29th birthday on 14 July. Peter will sing for Victoria at a party being held at Borgholm Castle on Öland. Lena Philipsson and an unnamed international star will also perform.

Robert Wells is giving a concert at Åland on 4 August 2006. Peter will be joining him along with Shirley Clamp. Tickets are now on sale from www.ticnet.se.

Peter is in concert with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra on 13 August 2006. "I det gröna med Peter Jöback" is a free concert and is being held outdoors at 2pm near the Sjöhistoriska museum.

Peter will be one of the performers at the "Sånger för livet" (Songs for life) concert to be held at Globen in Stockholm on 7 October 2006. Other performers include Tommy Nilsson and Shirley Clamp as well as a 2,500-strong choir. Tickets are now on sale from www.ticnet.se.

Peter will be a guest performer at a series of Christmas concerts in Copenhagen on 24, 25 (two shows) and 26 November 2006 at the Opera House, Holmen.
