Peter recorded about ten songs in English for an album which was sadly never released. Instead, he signed with Sony Records and recorded a duet with Towe Jaarnek, "More Than A Game", which was the official song for the 1992 European Football Championship. Peter and Towe performed the song live at the opening ceremony in front of 2 billion people around the world. Peter and Mikael wrote Peter's debut self-titled album which was released on Sony Records in Sweden in 1993. The album received airplay on Swedish radio but unfortunately was not a success. For a short time Peter was a member of the group Stage Four along with Lisa Nilsson, Lizette Pålsson and Andreas Lundstedt. The group performed on TV and at the 125th anniversary celebrations of Dagens Nyheter - a major Swedish newspaper. Peter's big break came in 1995 with his casting as Robert in the musical "Kristina Från Duvemåla" by Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson. Peter played the role in Malmö and Göteborg as well as travelling to the USA to appear in a special "Kristina Från Duvemåla" concert in Minneapolis. Peter also returned to "Kristina från Duvemåla" for a week at Easter and a week in June when the musical finally finished. Peter's career keeps going from strength to strength and 2000 added some more notches to his belt. He kicked off the year by supplying the voice for the lead character in the Swedish version of the hit movie "Stuart Little". In July, the new musical "The Witches Of Eastwick" opened in the West End with Peter playing the role of Michael, the son of one of the witches. Peter sang on two songs and was the main dancer in the showstopper "Dance With The Devil".
Peter continued his role in "The Witches of Eastwick" into 2001 and his final appearance was on 30 June 2001. He managed to fit in time to reunite with the cast of "Kristina från Duvemåla" for a special concert version of the hit musical which toured Sweden in June and then he kicked off a series of concerts in July and August where he showcased material from the "Only When I Breathe" album plus a couple of surprises.

Peter also went on tour to promote the album and recorded a special concert for Swedish television. The big announcement in 2003 was that Peter was going to play the Emcee in the Danish production of Cabaret. He rehearsed with the cast and appeared in a few performances during April and May with very positive reactions from audiences. Peter officially took over the role from 19 September until November. In June 2003, Peter performed two concerts in Göteborg featuring the songs of Stephen Sondheim and Leonard Bernstein. Peter performed another series of Christmas concerts to finish off 2003.
A few weeks before the release of the album, Peter made the news when he came out as gay on Swedish television in an interview with popular host Kristian Luuk. Reactions to this revelation were generally very positive and supportive.
Peter also toured during 2004. A series of outdoor concerts to promote "Det här är platsen" scheduled for summer had to be postponed due to bad weather. These concerts finally went ahead in October and attracted very positive reviews. Not long after, Peter put on two special concerts to promote "Storybook" - one in Göteborg and one in Stockholm. Peter released a double CD retrospective of his career in July 2006 called "Flera Sidor Av Samma Man" which debuted at number one on the Swedish album charts. The album was a great success, staying at number one for eight weeks running as well as entering the Norwegian top ten. The album was certified double platinum in Sweden. "Flera Sidor Av Samma Man" (Different Sides of the Same Man) contained two brand new songs, both released as singles - "Jag blundar i solens sken" and "Jag står för allt jag gjort". Peter also recorded a duet with Gunilla Backman called "Du får mig i blom" that was included on her album "Nära mig". "Cabaret" closed in Stockholm in November 2006, reopening in Göteborg on New Year's Eve. It ran until April 2007, with a cast recording being released on CD in January 2007. The cast recording reached number seven on the Swedish album charts. Peter is currently working on a new pop album for release in the autumn of 2007.
